European Helicopter Center AS (established 1993) is based at Sandefjord Torp International Airport, 100 km south of Oslo, Norway. The company fleet (2007) comprises fourteen helicopters of five different types and sizes.

At present EHC employs a staff of 23 of which 15 are qualified pilots/instructors. Our core business is training and we put high demands on the performance of our instructors and students with safety as the number one priority. EHC activity has steadily increased and after 14 years of operation we have accumulated a total flight time close to 70.000 hours without serious accidents. In 2006, EHC established cooperation with major Danish fixed wing pilot school, CAT, to serve the Danish market with quality helicopter pilot training. Professional pilot training (CPL-H); At present EHC trains 35-40 professional pilots (CPL-H) per year. Spend a year at EHC and your dreams of becoming a professional helicopter pilot may be realized. We provide you with an exciting trade education adapted to market needs and aim to continuously be in the forefront by offering the best training available for future helicopter pilots.

Private pilot training (PPL-H); Each year 12-15 persons get their private helicopter pilot license (PPL-H) at EHC. This license allows you to fly a helicopter as pilot in command (PIC) carrying non-paying passengers. You can bring your family, friends or colleagues along on pleasure or business trips. Course duration is flexible and training adapted to your time available, typically 5-8 Months, using evenings and weekends.

Other courses; EHC also offers special qualification courses like: instrument training IR(H), instructor course FI(H), long line load training, various type ratings, night flying, mountain flying.

Transport department; Carrying materials and equipment for the building, construction and electric power plant industry constitutes a major part of our transport activity. Helicopters are very efficient tools for moving loads to difficult accessible sites and the load safety is taken well care of by skilled ground teams. Passenger transport is done all over Scandinavia for individuals or groups of persons in our comfortable, modern four to six seats helicopters. EHC is a major Norwegian provider of helicopter services for environmental surveillance, film, TV, sightseeing, banner towing and events.

Technical department; Skytec handles all our maintenance, and are approved to do all services and overhauls for Robinson helicopters, included complex component overhauls. Skytec are also handling the maintenance for our AS 350 / AS 355 series. web: www.skytec.no
