The GRAND ARKADE (this model in Platinum)is Lange's second homage to the magnificent architecture of Dresden and to the shape of the arcades of the city's royal palace.
This is also the story of how Adolph Lange first met Antonia in just such a setting with the baroque arkades - she was the daughter of his apprentice master, Gutkaes.They were later married and Adolph went on to become a master watchmaker.
This is the story that led to the artistry and design, that became the ARKADE.
There were,however, many customers who wanted a larger version and so the GRAND ARKADE had its debut.
Lange has given it a larger case and a bigger solid silver dial, with the same impressive Calibre L911.4 movement.
Dial: Solid silver, argente
Hands: Rhodiumed gold
Case: 38mm x 29.5mm, Height 8.7mm.Sapphire crystal glass and caseback.
Strap: Hand-stitched crocodile with a platinum ardillon buckle.
Movement: Calibre L911.4 Manually wound.
Patented outsize date,rapid date corrector, small second with stop seconds.
