LOTUS EVORA - Ready for delivery 2010!

The Lotus Evora is the world’s only production mid-engined 2+2 sports car.
The new car will be offered alongside the iconic and popular Elise and Exige models. The Lotus Evora is designed for people who desire the exotic sports car characteristics of stunning design, exclusivity, dramatic proportions and performance. Powered by a 3.5-litre V-6 producing 276 hp at 6,400 rpm and 252 lb.ft. of torque at 4,700 rpm and in keeping with the great Lotus Tradition, the Evora employs innovative lightweight chassis technology to ensure all-around exceptional dynamic performance.
Not only is straight-line performance spectacular, with the 0 – 60 mph sprint taking approximately 5 seconds with a top speed of over 160 mph but so to are class leading fuel economy (est. 27 mpg) and emissions figures.
In addition to its excellent performance and exemplary handling, the
Evora offers a more refined ownership experience than Lotus’s existing smaller four-cylinder models. Evora’s cabin is elegantly trimmed and its equipment list includes such high-tech features as an advanced touch-screen multi-media system incorporating a state-of-the-art Alpine satellite navigation and audio system. Because one of the roles of the Evora is to attract new customers to the Lotus brand, much attention has been paid to its ease of use. Wider, taller door apertures and narrower sills make getting in and out of the cabin a less athletic undertaking than it is in Lotus’s smaller sports cars, while the design of the cabin itself will easily accommodate two 6ft 5in tall people in the front seats.
Styled in-house by Lotus Design, the Evora’s sophisticated and attention-grabbing lines brilliantly disguise its ability to accommodate passengers in the rear of the cabin, giving the car the external characteristics of a small, nimble sports car belying its real exterior and internal space. Along with being sold in a 2+2 configuration, the Evora will also be available as a two-seater (2+0), the space in the rear being allocated to luggage storage.
The first 150 USA Launch Edition Evoras will carry the following factory options: Premium Package, Technology Package, Sport Package, Close Ratio 6 Speed "Sport" Gearbox, Reversing Camera.
