Ferraris were meant to be see and be seen in, and no one"s going to mistake this topless beauty for a Hyundai! With fewer than 9,900 miles and a clean Carfax this car"s past is secure, and its future will be as well with a timing belt service before we deliver it to you! Loaded up from the factory, few options are even available, but this one has the right ones. Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, 360 Challenge rear grille and red brake calipers improve the looks while the six-way power seats up your comfort level. In the front trunk you"ll find the original car cover, tool kit and the optional Zivan battery charger with pre-wiring. Owner-added extras include a full set of Asanti 19 and 20 wheels with nearly new tires. You"ll get those or the original wheels shown on the car--your choice! A full Alpine sound system with a new, satellite radio enabled head unit, a high-powered amp and a custom 10” sub and enclosure provides much better sound than stock, while a front/rear protected Beltronics radar/laser detector keeps you protected. The detector is easily removed, and the factory head unit is included in case factory-correct is your motivator. The F1 transmission technically isn"t an option as Ferrari sold it as a separate model, but the smooth and intuitive paddle shifters and lightning quick shifts should have been experienced by all. While the design is more than a decade old, the 360 here simply doesn"t look its age. In fact, you see a lot of its lines in big brother 599GTB"s bodywork. While some Pininfarina designs age poorly (think Testarossa) others, such as the 360, are instant home runs. The newer F430 might be a better car, the differences are no where near as striking as the jump from the 355 to the 360. This is still a car that"ll take out 99% of what you"ll find on both the street and the track. The engineers worked hard from the start of the 360 project to lay the foundation for a Spider with exceptional torsional and flexional rigidity. They had to strengthen the sills, stiffen the front of the floorpan and redesign the windscreen frame. The rear bulkhead had to be stiffened to cut out engine noise from the cabin. The convertible"s necessary dynamic rigidity is provided by additional side reinforcements and a cross brace in front of the engine. Passenger safety is ensured by a strengthened windscreen frame and roll bars. The 360 Spider displays a curvilinear waistline. The fairings imply the start of a roof, and stable roll bars are embedded in these elevations. Due to use of light aluminum constructions throughout, the Spider weighs in with only 130 lb more than the coupe. With its hood up, the Ferrari 360 Spider looks extremely aggressive. Lowering the hood totally transforms the look. Seen from the side, the 360 Spider resembles a sports racer, a sensation underlined by the length of the rear engine bay, the twin roll bars, the rear fairings and the steep windscreen. As with the Modena version, its 3.6 liter V8 with 400 hp is on display under a glass hood. The engine - confined in space by the convertible"s top"s storage area - acquires additional air supply through especially large side grills. The intake manifolds, with the classical Ferrari covers, cuddle up to each other between the air supply conduits in the Spider engine compartment, as opposed to lying apart as with the Modena. Despite the car"s mid-mounted V8 engine Ferrari"s engineers found a way of creating a hood that automatically folds away inside the engine bay, thus ensuring purity of line. The top canopy of crease free material comes in black, blue, grey and beige. The striptease from a closed top to an open-air convertible is a two-stage folding-action that has been dubbed a stunning 20 second mechanical symphony.
